Euro Foods Bakery & Cafe is a Eastern European Cafe & Bakery located in West Ashley in Charleston, South Carolina. Come visit us for deli meats and fish, herbs and spices, breads, desserts, cheeses and canned goods. The menu of prepared foods in the café will include fresh pierogi, borscht, pelmeni, blini, sandwiches and khachapuri (cheese stuffed breads).

ABOUT OUR FAMILY
“I’m really blessed,” Aptsiauri said. “I’m doing something I really love”
Maka Aptsiauri and her husband Aleksandr Pavlichenko founded the business in 2006.
Pavlichenko is from Ukraine, and Aptsiauri is originally from the Republic of Georgia. Neither of them spoke English when they arrived in the United States, but both were following the American dream. Married 10 years, both are now U.S. citizens.
Before coming to Charleston and starting Euro Foods, Pavlichenko worked as a specialist technician at Miller House in New York. After coming to the United States, Aptsiauri worked in the food and beverage industry and developed a passion for cooking. She dreamed of one day owning a restaurant and now she’s introducing her native cuisine to the Charleston region.
